Vikings Earn Road Win at Piedmont Tuesday

Claire Scott pounded 16 kills to lead Berry to a 27-25, 24-26, 26-24, 25-18 victory on the road at Piedmont Tuesday night in Demorest, Ga.

The victory was the 13th in the last 14 matches for the Vikings, who improved to 15-4 overall.  It wasn't easy, Berry coach Mika Robinson said after the match.

"Tonight's match wasn't pretty," Robinson said.  "But I am proud of the team for sticking with it to get the win on the road."

Scott added 11 digs and two blocks to her statistics.  Kristin Hargrove led Berry with 18 digs and three service aces, while Stephanie Quinn passed for 45 assists and picked up six digs.

Berry returns home to the Cage Center this Friday to host Maryville College at 6 p.m.
