MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Olivia Nye, Bella Fornuto and Megan Radosta each tallied once as the Berry College women’s soccer team defeated Belhaven University 3-1 on Saturday afternoon to open up play at the Berry Invitational.
Belhaven jumped out to an early lead, with Jessica Mahoney scoring in the 21st minute to give the Blazers the 1-0 lead. The Vikings quickly answered, as Nye found the back of the net in the 30th minute to tie the game at one apiece. Berry then took their first lead of the day in the 42nd minute, never trailing again. Fornuto scored off a pass from Allie Bertany to move the score to 2-1 before rounding out first half play. Radosta then added the final goal of the game in the 76th minute, ensuring the Vikings’ 3-1 victory.

Berry will continue to play in the Berry Invitational tomorrow against Transylvania at 4:00pm.
