Women's Lacrosse Falls to Emmanuel 18-8

FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. — Rose Blanchard and Miranda Smith each tallied twice, but the Berry College women’s lacrosse team fell to Emmanuel College 18-8 on Tuesday afternoon. 
 
Two nine-goal halves ensured Emmanuel’s victory, as the Lions led 9-3 at halftime. Six Vikings scored at least one goal in the win, as Berry moved to 4-5 overall on the season. Megan Shortt led all-scorers with nine goals in the contest, as Emmanuel led the game in shots (40-21) and ground balls (20-9), forcing 21 Berry turnovers.
