Women's Lacrosse Drops Conference Game

SEWANEE, Tenn. – Berry's women's lacrosse team lost to Southern Athletic Association opponent Sewanee, 21-6, on Saturday afternoon at Puett Field.

Berry fell to 5-6 and 2-1 in SAA action. Sewanee upped its record to 9-4 and 4-0.

Sewanee scored the game's first eight goals and led 15-4 at halftime.

Sally Anne Greenwood totaled four goals, and Molly Arnold and Olivia Vietor had three apiece for Sewanee. Sara Witten led Berry with two scores.

Taylor Martin took the loss in goal for Berry and made seven saves. Sammy Strasburger earned the win for Sewanee and had six saves.

The Vikings will return to play on the road against Huntingdon College on Wednesday afternoon. Game time is scheduled for 5 p.m. in Montgomery, Ala.
