Women's Lacrosse Rolls Over Benedictine

ROME, Ga. – Led by five players with multiple goals, Berry's women's lacrosse team beat Benedictine University, 16-1, on Monday afternoon at Ford Field.

Berry returned to .500 as its record now stands at 4-4 overall. Benedictine fell to 1-2.

Berry led 13-1 at halftime and shut out Benedictine in the second half as it held a 30-4 edge in shots.

Kim Fischer paced Berry with four goals, and Kristan Dziurzynski, Elizabeth Flatt and Sara Witten finished with three apiece. McKall Pugliese scored Benedictine's lone tally.

Berry goalkeeper Taylor Martin earned the win and stopped two shots. Benedictine's Tricia Baluyut took the loss and made 11 saves.

"Basically today we finally put together a pretty good performance," said Berry Head Coach Shaun Williamson. "Did all the little things correctly. Just a good game from start to finish for us."

The Vikings will return to action on Wednesday afternoon against Piedmont College at 4 p.m.
