Jenny Miller scored a school record 12 goals to lead Berry's women's lacrosse team to a 23-14 victory over Millsaps in Jackson, Miss., Sunday.
Miller's 12 goals eclipsed the former mark of nine set by Kristan Dziurzynski on two separate occasions earlier this season.
Miller and Dziurzynksi, who scored five goals Sunday, are both among the nation's most prolific scorers this season. In the last NCAA Division III statistical report, which included games through March 18, Dziurzynski was ranked third in the nation in total goals scored and Miller ranked eighth.
Both were also ranked in the nation's top 10 in total points.
With the 12-goal effort Sunday, Miller took over the team lead with 52 goals, one more than Dziurzynski.
Miller also passed for a game high three assists against Millsaps.
It took Miller and her teammates less than 15 minutes to put the game away, as Berry (5-4-1) jumped out to a 9-1 lead midway through the first half and held at least a five-goal advantage the rest of the way.
By halftime, Miller had scored five times, Dziurzynski had three goals and Elizabeth Flatt scored both of her goals to help push the Vikings out to a 12-7 advantage.
Haleigh Williams led the Majors with eight goals.
The Vikings are scheduled to return to action Friday at Sewanee.
