Sydney Weaver was named the Berry College golf program's graduate assistant coach in May of 2017, just a few weeks after becoming the first Berry College women's golfer in program history to compete at the NCAA Championship.

In her first season with the Vikings, Weaver helped lead the women's team to their first SAA Championship title and the program's first team appearance in the NCAA Division III Nationals tournament.

The Columbus, Ga., native joined a short list of Vikings to earn All-America honors as the first since 2009 and just the fifth ever female golfer to earn the prestigious recognition. She had a historic senior season for the Vikings, earning Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Golfer of the Year honors in addition to a top 10 finish at the NCAA Division III Women's Golf Championship.

She earned two consecutive first place finishes during her senior campaign at two of the most competitive tournaments in the nation: Callaway Gardens and the Jekyll Island Invitational. Weaver also placed third at the SAA Championship. Weaver was also a four-time All-Conference golfer during her career.

Weaver graduated from Berry with a bachelors degree in accounting and is now pursuing her master's in business administration.
