Weaver in First, Women's Golf in Second After Day One at Callaway Gardens

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Sydney Weaver led the individual field with an even 72 on the day, as the Berry College women's golf team sits in second after round one at the Callaway Gardens Collegiate Invitational on Monday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Weaver's even 72 led the Vikings through the first 18 holes.

• Rachel Belanger finished round one tied for seventh place after shooting a 76 (+4).

• Jorie Hodapp shot a 78 (+6) to finish tied for 13th on the day.

• Erin Bruner shot an 82 to finish tied for 29th, and Karley Hammond shot an 84 to finish tied for 39th.

NOTABLES:

• Wittenberg University finished round one at the top of the team leaderboard after shooting a 306 team total.

• Berry finished just two strokes behind, finishing at 308 on the day.
