Berry Shoots 380 on Opening Round at Jekyll Island Friday

Berry's women's golf team shot 380 on Friday's opening round of the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational, hosted by Oglethorpe University.

Eftihia Kountakis and Nikki Cline each shot 86 to lead the Vikings Friday.  Morgan Johnston shot 96 and Kay Casto finished at 112 to round out Berry's scores.  Berry's Caysie Holley withdrew.

Full first round scores and standings for the 52-team event were not immediately available, but are expected to be posted later Friday night on Oglethorpe's website, www.gopetrels.com.

The tournament continues Saturday before wrapping up on Sunday.
