Women's Basketball Claims First Win of Season at Toccoa Falls 73-35

TOCCOA, Ga. — Head Coach Thomas Johnson earned his first win as a head coach on Saturday afternoon as the Berry College women's basketball team took down Toccoa Falls 73-35 for their first win of the year.

The Vikings were efficient from the floor, shooting 42.5% from the field. Berry also passed the ball well, with each player scoring at least once and no players in double figures. Rebounding was also a highlight for the Silver and Blue, as the Vikings out-rebounded Toccoa Falls 64-27 and had 23 offensive boards.

Casey Brooks led the team with nine pints, going 4-6 from the field. McKenzie Smith and Capri Frazier each had eight points and seven boards.

The Vikings are back in action tomorrow at Wesleyan for a 6:00 p.m. tip.
