ATLANTA — In exclusive voting by head coaches of the Southern Athletic Association (SAA), Berry College's Eveline Parsons and Nia Smith have been named to the All-Conference honorable mention squad.
Parsons, a sophomore guard from Metarie, La., earns her first career All-Conference selection after setting career-bests across the board. She averaged 10.2 points per game on the year including a team-leading 2.5 assists per contest. Parsons was also top 10 in the SAA in three-point shooting, hitting 40 on the year for a 34.5 percentage from beyond the arc.
Smith, a senior guard from Atlanta, Ga., also earns her first All-Conference honor after leading the Vikings with 11.9 points per game. Shooting 32.3 percent from the field this season, Smith was efficient at the charity stripe all year, ranking top 10 in the league for free throws made (114) and free throw percentage (76.0). She was also fourth in the SAA with 46 steals.
