Women's Basketball Downed by Sewanee on the Road 66-51

SEWANEE, Tenn. - Alex Weems posted a double-double performance on the night, but the Berry College women's basketball team fell 66-51 to the Tigers of Sewanee on Friday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Tigers were ahead 42-32 at the half
• Sewanee shot 34.4-percent (22-of-64) to Berry's 26.3-percent (15-of-57).
• The Tigers also led the game in rebounds (46-44), assists (15-10) and steals (15-8), and both teams added four blocks.

• Weems: 21 points, 11 rebounds, 5-for-14 FG, 11-for-14 FGM, 3 BLK
• Ashley McKee: 11 points, 4-for-10 FG, 3-for-5 3PT, 4 AST
• Valerie McLure: 6 points, 3-for-9 FG, 6 REB

SEWANEE STATISTICAL STANDOUTS:
• Bella Taylor: 18 points, 10 REB, 5-for-16 FG, 4-for-8 3PT, 4-for-4 FTM, 2 BLK

NOTABLES:
• The Vikings dropped to 8-13 overall and 2-8 in the Southern Athletic Association.
• Weems continues to rank fourth in the SAA in points per game on the year, averaging 13.4 points.
