MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Berry College women's basketball team forced the game into overtime on Friday night but were defeated 82-79 by the Millsaps College Majors.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

•  The Vikings set the pace early in the game leading 18-16 in the first quarter.

•  Berry rallied from a 16-point deficit to force OT

• The Majors held a thin lead against the Vikings in field goal percentage 50.9% - 49.1%.

• The Vikings led in field goal (93.8%) and 3PT (50.1%) percentage.

• The Majors stayed in the game on the boards, leading 38-24 in points made in the paint.

• Ashley McKee: 23 points, 8-for-14 FG, 4 3FG, 6 AST

• Alex Weems: 20 points, 5-for-6 FG, 2 REB, 2 BLK

• Braxton Thomas: 22 points, 7-for-12 FG, 2 REB

• Kala- Jewel Freeman: 20 points, 7-for-14 FG, 7 REB, 5 AST

• Brazia Jones: 10 points, 4-for-4 FG, 3 REB

NOTABLES:

• Berry is now 10-13 and 3-9 in the SAA.
