Women's Basketball Closes Regular Season with Win at Oglethorpe

ATLANTA - The Berry College women's basketball team held off Oglethorpe in a 70-63 victory to close the Vikings' regular season schedule.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Viking's went into the locker room with a 30-27 lead over the Stormy Petrels and held their lead in the second half.
  • The Vikings forced 21 turnovers and scored 16 points off of these turnovers.
  • Three Vikings had double-digit games, with Alex Weems scoring 20 points, Kristin Rampersad with 18 points, and Ashley McKee adding 14 points.
  • Berry was also solid shooting from three, nailing seven three-pointers in the win.
  • Valerie McLure was strong on the boards, hauling in 12 rebounds

NOTABLES:

  • The Vikings close regular season play with a 11-14 record overall, and 5-9 record against conference opponents.

UP NEXT:

  • The Vikings will travel to Birmingham Southern College for the SAA conference tournament. Berry will enter the tournament as the sixth seed.
