MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Berry women's basketball team was handed their first loss on the year by William Peace on Friday night with a 78-57 final.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Pacers shot 55.2% to the Vikings 26.3%. 
  • Berry had 7 three-pointers to William Peace 3. 
  • The Pacers led 43-25 at the half.
  • The Pacers led the game in rebounds (47-44), blocks (3-2), and steals (17-14)

BERRY STATISTCAL STANDOUTS: 

  • Rosie Lynch: 11 points, 4-for-12 FG, 3 3FG 6 rebounds 
  • Eveline Parson: 8 points, 3-for-4 FG, 1 3FG, 7 rebounds 
  • Alex Weems: 7 points, 3-for-10 FG, 5 rebounds

NOTABLES: 

  • The Vikings fought hard in the last quarter leading 27-21. 
  • The Vikings record now stands at 1-1.
