2011 Track: Set a personal record for the 3,000 meters at the Sewanee Indoor Meet (2/26) with 9:51.31 on the clock, finishing sixth…set a personal best in the Flying Pig Half-Marathon  with a time of 1:21:21, finishing 13th.

 

2010 Cross Country: Ran a season best 27:40 in the Southeast Classic 8K (10/23), finishing 102nd out of 239 runners…finished 12th out of 28 runners in the Darlington Open 5K with a time of 17:13.87…improved his 8K time over two minutes through the course of the season.

 

2010 Track: Participated in five track events... ran his first 1500 meter race at the Mountain Laurel Invitational (4/17) finishing eighth with a time of 4:29.09... his fastest time in the one mile event was 8:52.42, which he made in the Tiger Paw Invitational (2/12-2/13)... in his final race at the Duke Twilight (5/9) meet, Anthony ran his season best time of 16:27.72... had a sixth place finish at the Cumberland Invitational (4/10) when he ran the 10,000 meters in 34:41.17.

 

2009 Cross Country: Ran the 8K at the Cavalier Invitational in his career-best time 30:52.24 in his first year on the Vikings' squad... Anthony's best finish was 33rd at the Berry Provisional that he ran in 31:11.69.

 

High School: Best time of 16:58 in the 5K...received the Thuston Award for integrity and work ethic in 2004-05 and the Coaches Award in 2006... helped Mountain Brook High School to the State Cross Country titles in both 2006 and 2008...a four year letter-winner in both track and cross country... in track posted a top 800-meter time of 2:09 and a top 1600 meter time of 4:40... was a four year honor roll student that was twice selected to his school's Latin Honors Society, also actively involved in Relay for Life.

 

Personal: William Brantley Anthony Jr. was born in Birmingham, Ala.... the son of Harriet and Bill… has a younger sister, Ann…a Journalism major at Berry.
