Sexton's Time in 3,000 Highlights Berry's Peformance Saturday

Michael Sexton's personal best time in the 3,000 meters highlighted Berry's performance Saturday at the Tiger Paw invitational in clemson, S.C.

Sexton placed ninth in the 3,000 meters, finishing the race in 8:50.86. 

He was one of three Berry runners to compete in the 3,000 meters.  Peyton Hoyal finished 25th with a time of 9:14.29, and Ryan James finished two spots behind Hoyal with a time of 9:14.58.

Charlotte Collins led two Berry women in the 3,000 meters, finishing 45th with a time of 11:32.29.   Taylor Gupton was 52nd, with a time of 12:15.62.

The Vikings also had two runners compete in the men's 800 meters.  Matthew Rego finished 16th in that race, crossing the finish line in 1:56.89.  Blake Bannister finished 25th with a time of 1:59.98.

Berry is scheduled to return to action Feb. 18, when it competes against Shorter at the Darlington School in Rome.
