Olsen Hired as Berry Men's Lacrosse Assistant Coach

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – Berry College Athletics Director, Todd Brooks, has announced the hiring of Zack Olsen to serve as the men’s lacrosse assistant coach effective immediately.

Olsen joins Berry College and the men’s lacrosse coaching staff after completing one year on the University of Arizona men’s club lacrosse coaching staff. Prior to his stint at The University of Arizona, Olsen was also part of the coaching staff at Augustana College for two years.

While at Augustana, Olsen helped the team compile a 25-12 overall record. He also coached 15 all-conference players, leading the program to a spot in the NCAA tournament for the first time in program history.

Olsen is a graduate of Aurora University, where he was a four-year founding member of the men’s lacrosse program. A two year captain, and four year starter at Aurora, he compiled a record of 56-18 on the field for the Spartans, finishing his career with four MLC tournament appearances, two MLC Championships and two sweet-sixteen appearances.

“I am extremely excited to be a part of the men’s lacrosse program here,” Olsen said. “Having played and coached against Berry in the past, I know this is a talented and athletic team. There is a great mindset here, along with some top tier facilities. I anticipate a breakout year for this team and am happy to be a part of it.”
