ROME, Ga. — The Vikings held Concordia to just three goals, as the Berry College men’s lacrosse team bested Concordia (WI) 12-3 on Tuesday afternoon to improve to 6-2 on the season.
Berry scored three early goals and never looked back, leading 7-2 by the end of the first half. The Vikings then tallied five more times in the final 30 minutes of play, allowing just one more goal from Concordia to ensure the 12-3 victory.
McKinely Gannon led the Vikings with two goals and two assists in the victory. Kevin Murphy (2-0) earned the win in goal for Berry, collecting six saves in 25:04 minutes in goal, as the Vikings won their fifth straight.
On the day, Berry led the contest in shots (43-15) and ground balls (39-23), forcing 23 Concordia turnovers to their 12.
