DEMOREST, Ga. -- Berry College improved to 3-0 after winning at Piedmont College, 12-4, on Wednesday.

"The defense played well today and it's good to get off to a 3-0 start," said BC Head Coach Chris Delfausse. "It's always nice to beat an in-state rival, too, but we didn't play our best today. We need to put out a better effort to beat Virginia Wesleyan next week in Charlotte."

Bryan Byers paced the Berry offense with four goals. Nat Morey added two goals and one assist for BC. All three goalkeepers played in the game for Berry.

Piedmont lost its second straight game and dropped to 3-2.
