Men's Golf Finishes Play at Jekyll Island Invitational

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – The Berry College men’s golf team finished in a three-way tie for 14th place at the Jekyll Island Invitational on Sunday, posting a 912 team total.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Ryan Elmore led the Vikings, finishing tied for eighth place with a 216 (70, 72, 74) total.
  • Joel Maire finished at 227 (77, 73, 77), tied for 55th.
  • Eddy Black shot a 76 on Saturday to finish at 229 (79, 74, 76) overall.
  • Phil Leahy and Press Clark rounded out scoring with an 83 and 91 round three score, respectively, on Sunday.

NOTABLES:

  • Greensboro College shot a 288 round three team score to finish in first overall at 875 on the weekend.
  • Oglethorpe’s Jacob Arnett shot a 71 to finish at the top of the individual leaderboard with a 212 (73, 68, 71) total.

Berry will tee off next in the Grandover Match Play at the Grandover East Golfcourse on Sunday, April 2.
