Men's Golf Closes Competition at Callaway Invitational

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – The Berry College men’s golf team dropped four strokes to finish at 618 overall, tied for 12th place at the Callaway Garden Collegiate Invitational after Tuesday’s final round.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Ryan Elmore led the Vikings, shooting a 77 on the day to finish tied for 16th at 150 overall.
  • Eddy Black finished tied for 39th after posting a 76 to finish at 154.
  • Joel Maire and Phil Leahy finished tied for 61st with a two-day score of 158.
  • Peter Pappas rounded out scoring for the Vikings with a 160 total.

NOTABLES:

  • Washington & Lee’s Brian Peccie and Christopher Newport’s David Rabil finished tied for first among individuals after finishing at 145 overall.
  • Emory University finished at the top of the team leaderboard with a 596 team total.

Berry will travel to the Jekyll Island Invitational on Friday, March 17 for their next competition at the Pine Lakes GC.
