Vikings Move Up to Fourth on Final Day of Indian Bayou Classic

Chadd Reynolds and Alex Elmore each shot 76 and Berry College jumped two spots to finish fourth at the Indian Bayou Classic at Indian Bayou Golf Club in Destin, Fla., Tuesday.

The Vikings shot 307 as a team over the final 18 holes, giving Berry a 36-hole score of 613 after shooting 306 Monday.  Host North Alabama shot a tournament-low round of 281 to finish at 299-281-580 and win the event by two strokes over Delta State, which shot 293-289-582.  Columbus State was the only other team to finish ahead of the Vikings after shooting 300-294-594. 

The field included 14 teams and 74 players.

Reynolds finished at 152 overall after shooting 76 for the second straight day to tie teammate Tim Kim, among others, for 20th place.  Kim shot 75-77-152.  Jose Garcia finished at 76-78-154 to tie for 29th, Elmore shot 80-76-156 and tied for 33rd and Alex Irvin shot identical rounds of 79 to finish tied for 44th at 158.

Trevecca Nazarene's Joey Bradley earned low medalist honors after winning a playoff against Delta State's Grant Goforth.  Bradley shot 70-72-142, while Goforth shot 71-71-142 before Bradley's playoff victory.

The Vikings are scheduled to return to action Oct. 25-26 at the Tom and Bettie O'Briant Memorial in Greensboro, N.C.
