Mason Robinson enters his second season as an assistant track & field coach, working with the throws program. In his first year on staff, Robinson coached Onoyeme Egure to Indoor First Team All-America honors in the women's shot put and Outdoor Second Team All-America honors in the same event. Under his guidance, the program produced 14 USTFCCCA All-Region selections (nine outdoor and five additional Indoor honorees), 16 All-Conference performers (six indoor and ten outdoor), both the conference Indoor Throws Athletes of the Year, SAA Champions in the women's shot put both indoors and outdoors, conference champion’s in the weight throw both men and women, a sweep of the top four places in the women's hammer throw at the conference championships, and a 1-2 finish in the women's javelin at the conference championships.
A former standout thrower at Berry, Robinson transferred from Division I Western Carolina University during his sophomore year. He earned 10 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) honors, was a two-time SAA Field Athlete of the Year, and received USTFCCCA All-Region recognition during both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Robinson was also recognized as an SAA All-Academic honoree, helped lead the Vikings to three SAA Championship team titles, and played a pivotal role in elevating the competitiveness of Berry's throwing program.
