Moore Leads Vikings to Comeback Victory over Belhaven 73-72

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Myles Moore led the Vikings with 17 points, as the Berry College men’s basketball team held off Belhaven 73-72 for a comeback victory on Friday night.

Berry trailed 31-35 at the half but then outscored Belhaven 42-37 in the final period of play. The game saw 14 lead changes, as the Vikings finished the night shooting 36.9-percent (24-for-65). Berry also led the game in rebounds (48-38), assists (16-13) and steals (8-7).

Moore headed up the Vikings’ offensive effort, shooting 6-for-10 from the field, as well as a perfect 2-for-2 beyond the arc. Caleb Johnson, Quinn Atkinson and Coleman Ellingsworth each added double-digit points in the win for Berry as well, aiding Moore’s offense.

  • With the win, Berry improves to 5-7 on the year, winning their second straight contest.
