MOUNT BERRY, Ga. – The Vikings men's basketball team posted 46 points in the second half to best the Millsaps College Majors at home with a 63-50 final.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

•  Berry entered the half trailing 24-17

• The Vikings were very efficient at the free throw line down the stretch with an 82.4% (14-17) free throw percentage.

• The Vikings led in field goal (40.4%) and 3PT (31.8%) percentage.

• Berry dominated down low scoring 26 points in the paint to Millsaps 18. 

• Alton McCloud also led Berry with 11 boards.

BERRY STATISTICAL STANDOUTS:

• McCarty Forte: 13 points, 4-for-11 FG, 4 3FG, 4 REB, 1 AST

• Tanner Spalding: 11 points, 4-for-9 FG, 6 REB, 1 BLK

• Coleman Ellingsworth: 10 points, 4-for-8 FG, 4 REB, 3 BLK

MILLSAPS STATISTICAL STANDOUTS:

• Buck Blanz: 15 points, 6-for-12 FG, 6 REB

• Brennan Gagen: 13 points, 5-for-11 FG, 3 3FG, 3 REB, 5 AST

• Robert Gardner: 9 points, 4-for-12 FG, 1 3FG, 5 REB

NOTABLES:

• Berry is now 9-14 and 5-7 in the SAA.

• Alton McCloud is now third in the SAA  for total rebounds (136)
