Men's Basketball Falls to Centre in SAA Tournament

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Berry College men's basketball team was eliminated from the SAA tournament by No. 2 Centre College on Friday night with a final score of 69-56.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Berry trailed 32-24 at the half, but had a stronger second period scoring 32 points. 
  • Alton McCloud had a strong performance, posting 13 points and nine boards
  • The Vikings forced nine turnovers to Centre's four, but were unable to capitalize scoring just 10 points off turnovers.
  • Berry had 38 rebounds to Centre's 40.
  • Three Colonels scored in double digits
