Men's Basketball Drops Road Contest to Centre 84-68

DANVILLE, Ky. - Cory Johnson led the Vikings with 17 points, but the Berry College men's basketball team fell to Centre College 84-68 on Sunday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• The Vikings outscored the Colonels 42-34 in the final period of the game, but the 50-26 halftime deficit was too large to overcome.
• Centre shot 49.1-percent (28-of-57) to Berry's 36.8-percent (25-of-68).
• The Colonels also led the game in rebounds (41-36), assists (18-11) and blocks (4-2), while the Vikings led in steals (11-5).

• Johnson: 17 points, 5-for-10 FG, 3-for-7 3PT, 5 REB, 4-for-5 FTM
Alton McCloud: 13 points, 5-for-6 FG, 3-for-6 FTM, 5 REB, 3 AST
Blake Jones: 11 points, 5-for-11 FG, 3 AST, 3 STL
Tanner Spalding: 10 points, 5-for-14 FG, 4 REB

• With the loss, the Vikings are now 8-14 overall and 4-7 in the Southern Athletic Association.
