Berry Basketball Players Honored by GABCA

Three Berry College men's basketball players have been honored as NCAA Division III All-State selections by the Georgia Basketball Coaches Association, led by first-team honoree Tim MilesDavid Holloman earned a second-team award and Kendall Gadie earned an honorable mention to the team.

In addition, Miles, Holloman, Gadie and seven other Vikings earned GABCA All-Academic honors.

Miles averaged a team high 20.8 points per game as a senior in 2010-11, and finished his career with 1,283 points.  While leading the Vikings in scoring in all but three games in his final year, Miles also averaged 6.5 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

Holloman earned second-team honors after leading Berry in rebounding with seven boards per contest and averaging 11.9 points per game.  He also blocked 39 shots during the year.

Gadie averaged 4.7 assists per game to lead the Vikings in that category, while finishing third on the team in scoring at eight points per game.  Like Miles and Holloman, Gadie started all 27 games for Berry as a senior.

In addition to their on-court recognition, the three players joined teammates Hadyn Barnes, Lake Graham, Cass LeBlanc, Matt Mixer, Michael Schulthe, Hunter Smoak and Mac Whalen as GABCA All-Academic honorees.

Berry finished the 2010-11 season, its second as a provisional member of NCAA Division III, with a 16-11 overall record.
