Leduc, Moss Named Athletes of the Week
ROME, Ga. - Berry College equestrian team member Elizabeth Leduc (Sr., Valleyfield, QC, Canada) and baseball player Madison Moss (Sr., Rockmart, Ga.) have been honored as Berry's Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week ending March 6.
Leduc was named Female Athlete of the Week after clinching a win for Berry at the Hunt Seat Regionals in Athens, Ga. Leduc won blue a ribbon in the Novice Over Fences class and recorded a second place finish in the Intermediate Flat class to qualify for the Zone 5 Championships April 2 in Sewanee, Tenn.
Moss earned the Male Athlete of the Week honor after helping the Berry baseball team add two wins to its overall record over the weekend. Moss connected on two hits in a 5-4 win over North Park, and delivered a sacrifice fly to bring in the game winning run against ninth-ranked Birmingham-Southern. Berry defeated BSC 5-4.
