Women's Basketball Releases 2025-2026 Slate

| By:

MOUNT BERRY, Ga. - Head coach Thomas Johnson has revealed the Berry Women's Basketball's schedule for the 2025-2026 season.

After a successful 18-8 record and 3rd place finish in the SAA regular season, the Vikings will be looking to take the next step as conference championship contenders. Coach Johnson is confident that his unique mix of experience and youth will produce an electrifying product on the court.

The group will be led by forwards Elly Callihan and reigning SAA Newcomer of the Year, Briaiah Lewis. They will provide the Viking lineup with a unique balance of power, speed, shooting, and finesse from the forward positions. Point guard Jeryn Jarrett will be setting the table this season for the Vikings with her combination of basketball IQ and defensive tenacity. The Vikings will also have the luxury of having Ava Travis and Lauren Ellard back from injury this season.

The season gets going for the Vikings with a trip to Huntingdon College on November 7. Following that, Berry hits the road for the SAA/CCS Classic with contests against LaGrange on November 15 and Piedmont on November 16. Early season tournament play continues with the Vikings heading to Danville, Kentucky, on November 21 against Asbury and Centre on November 22.

Following the tournament style action, Berry hits the road again as they take on Brevard College on November 25. The Vikings then finally host Warren Wilson for their home opener on November 30. The season heats up with an SAA contest at Oglethorpe on December 3. Berry then enjoys a two-game homestand against Huntingdon on December 6 and Agnes Scott on December 15. Following that, Berry gears up for the Music City Classic just before Christmas break on December 19 and 20 against Ohio Wesleyan and John Carroll.

After Christmas break, the Vikings have one final tune-up before SAA play begins in an exhibition against Austin Peay State University on December 28.

SAA regular season play kicks into gear with a trip to new additions, Southwestern and Trinity, in Texas on January 9 and 11. Berry then sets their sights on a two-game homestand against Centre and Sewanee on January 16 and 18. On the following weekend, the Vikings set sail to take on Millsaps and Rhodes on January 23 and 25. Then, Berry gears up to take the two teams on again on January 30 and February 1. With conference play winding down, the Vikings take on the second round of conference play with road games against Centre on February 6 and Sewanee on February 8. Following that, the Vikings host Southwestern and Trinity on February 13 and 15 before closing out the regular season with a dandy at home against Oglethorpe on February 21.

The SAA Tournament will begin on February 26 and conclude on February 28.
