JACKSON, Miss. - The Vikings tremendous season has come to an end in the Southern Athletic Association tournament with their loss to Centre College, 66-43.
Berry had a low scoring game with just four points in the first quarter while the Colonels got off to a good start with 15.
Sylvia Kahoro led the way for the Vikings shooting 5-11 from the field with 13 total points, but her effort was not enough as Centre pushed the ball for a total of 25 fast break points.
The Colonels continuously made Berry pay for their 19 turnovers, scoring 23-points off of those turnovers.
Neither team could get hot from behind the arc, and even though the Vikings shot the ball 15 more times than Centre, they could not find a way in the Hangar Dome.
Elly Callihan's effort of 12 rebounds gave her team the opportunities they needed but Centre outscored them each quarter to advance to the conference championship.
