ROANOKE, Va. — The Berry College men's and women's track & field teams closed competition at the Noke Elite meet on Saturday afternoon, shattering several program records. 

Both teams finished fourth in a strong field. Several meet highlights include Meredith Herman taking first in the 3,000m run in the fastest time in Berry's NCAA Division III era and one of the fastest all-time by a Viking. CJ Stone also dominated the sprints, setting a new school record in the 60m and winning the 200m with a new PR and indoor school record. 

HIGHLIGHTS:

• In addition to Herman's record-setting pace in the 3,000m, Abby Carroll also earned a 4th place finish.
• Freshman Kamman Brown finished third in the women's high jump and second in the long jump.
• Tucker Smith, Mitchell Brice and Ethan Caldwell went 3-6-8 in the men's pole vault, an event expected to be one of the Vikings' stronger events as we head towards outdoor competition.
• Freshman Denae Rivera earned a 3rd place spot in the women's weight throw, tossing a PR. 
• The women's distance medley relay team of Bethany Terpin, MaryBeth Rowland, Tori Johnson and Abby Carroll took first.
• Berry's women's 4x200m relay team of freshmen Kamman Brown, Alexandria Kinney, Mary Hyde and Gracie Schumacher took first and set the indoor school record. 
• Terpin finished fourth in the women's mile run.
• CJ Stone led Berry's men in the 60m, but the Vikings also placed Austin Schriver, Kelvin Wilson, Collin Mathis and Derrell Mims inside the top-10 of the event.
• Stone and Wilson went 1-4 in the men's 200m.
• Kelley DeLacey and Elizabeth LaSelva went 3-5 in the women's pole vault.
