Box Score ROME, Ga. — Berry's DJ Estes hit six three-pointers on Tuesday night to lead the Berry College men's basketball team to a 77-58 victory over Toccoa Falls. With the win, the Vikings improve to 5-2.
Estes becomes the seventh Viking in Berry's NCAA Division III era to hit six or more three-pointers in a game. He was also 4-for-4 at the line for a career-high 22 points. Austin Brooks followed with 15 and nine rebounds. Caleb Haynes rounded out the Vikings in double-digits, scoring 12 on 6-for-7 shooting.
Berry trailed 35-34 at the break, but outscored the Screaming Eagles 43-23 in the second half to secure the win. As a team, the Vikings shot 44.4% from the field and turned the ball over just 10 times. The Vikings also outscored Toccoa Falls in the paint 40-26.
Berry travels to Oglethorpe on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the team's first Southern Athletic Association (SAA) matchup of the year.
