JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Berry College Track & Field teams completed the two-day ETSU Indoor Invitational on Saturday in tight competition in a field including several NCAA Division I programs.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Sophomore Abby Carroll took 3rd in the 5K, setting a new career PR of 18:15.09.
- Meredith Herman placed 11th overall in the 3K with a 11:11.53.
- Bethany Terpin had a comeback race, setting a PR in the mile with 5:38.13.
- Alainna Chretien ran a career-best 5:17.79 taking 6th in the mile run.
- Will Knowlton clock a strong 2:00.32 in the 800m, taking 12th.
- Genesis Leggett moved to 14th in the nation for shot put, taking a new PR of 13.31 and getting 2nd overall.
- Freshman Tucker Smith placed 3rd in pole vault, right behind a pair of Division I athletes, and Junior Ethan Caldwell placed 5th.
