TRUJILLO ALTO, Puerto Rico – Alex Weems added a double-double as the Berry College women's basketball team defeated Rivier College, 74-51, on Wednesday afternoon to open Puerto Rico play.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Weems led both the Vikings' offense and defense, scoring 17 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
- Berry scored at least 20 points in each of the final three quarters.
- The Vikings also outshot Rivier, 42-percent (29-of-69) to 29.8-percent (17-of-57).
- Berry led the game in three-pointers (8-2), rebounds (57-34) and assists (9-2).

- Weems continues to lead the Southern Athletic Association in rebounds on the year, with 96.
