WASHINGTON, D. C. -- Jake Doiron had four saves, but the Berry College men's soccer team fell to Catholic University on Saturday afternoon, 2-0.
The loss dropped the Vikings to 1-1-1. The win improved the Cardinals to 1-2.
Sean Adams scored the first goal of the contest on an assist from Brian Galfond in the 17th minute. The goal put the Cardinals ahead, 1-0, at the end of the first half.
Catholic's second goal came in the 46th minute when Nolan Day's shot popped out of Dorion's hands after a save.
Mackenzie Tittle, Alex Rotoloni, and Daniel Ray each had a shot on goal for the Vikings in the loss.
The Cardinals led the game in both shots (13-6) and corner kicks (5-4).
The Vikes will take on Averett in their next match on Friday, September 11, at 1 p.m. in the Berry Invitational.
