JACKSON, Miss. -- Nine Vikings recorded points as Berry College cruised to a 17-4 win at Millsaps College on Friday night.

Berry--which won its fifth straight contest--improved to 9-4 and 4-1 in the Southern Athletic Association. MC dropped to 2-11 and 0-5 in conference action.

Cory Hall led the visitors with 4 goals and 5 assists. Quentin Johnson scored twice and dished 3 helpers for BC. Jake Emche netted 2 goals and 2 assists. Kyle Lombardi tallied 3 times and Paolo Falzi scored twice and assisted once for Berry.

BC led 5-1 after the first quarter and held a 10-4 lead at halftime. The Vikings then outscored the Majors 7-0 in the final 30 minutes.

The Vikes led in shots (58-24), ground balls (41-27) and faceoffs (13-12).

Nick Voso started in goal for Berry. He had 4 saves and allowed 4 goals in 25 minutes. Duncan Tilka played the rest of the way and made 6 saves against no goals.

For Millsaps, Riley McLean recorded 19 saves.

The Vikings close SAA regular season play on Sunday at Birmingham-Southern College.
