Preview: Men's Basketball Seeks Consistency

by Bryce Koon for BerryVikings.com

ROME, Ga. -- In the second year under Berry Head Coach Jeff Rogers, the Vikings went 7-19. That was a two game improvement from last year.

This season, the Vikings look to gain some more confidence this year. Athough they will do so battling with a tough schedule.

Seniors Owen Jacobs and Lee Mcloud are the leading returning starters from last year's team. Jacobs--named Second team All-SAA--averaged 13.4 points and 8.7 rebounds per game.

The freshman class has Coach Rogers excited about the season. Newcomers have created competition for playing time.

Berry has a tough schedule this year, according to Coach Rogers, and will be challenged with their conference and non-conference slate.

Berry opens up the year with a tough opener at Washington and Lee in Lexington, VA on Sunday, November 15 at 2 p.m.
