BC led for the first 35 minutes of the contest. Aided by six first-half 3-pointers, the Vikes held a 37-30 lead at the break. Berry had its biggest lead at 47-36 with 14:58 remaining in the game after Mac Whalen made a layup.

The Vikings trailed 64-62 with three seconds, but Whalen was fouled on a 3-pointer attempt. The senior, however, made only one of three from the line. BC then fouled Cody Kieffer who made both foul shots. Gettysburg made 6-6 free throws in the last 1:12 of the game.
