Box Score West Point, Ga. -- Jonathan Abrams matched a career-high with 25 points, but Berry College lost at Point University, 74-61, on Wednesday night.
Abrams was 10-17 from the field and made two three-point baskets. His point total was a season-best and matched the total tallied at LaGrange last season. Teammate Mac Whalen added 14 points for the Vikings.
The Skyhawks improved to 10-3. Berry lost its fifth straight contest and is now 1-5.
Point held a 37-31 lead at halftime. Abrams had 14 points at the break. Jake Wright made a layup with 8:15 left in regulation to cut the margin to 51-48, but BC got no closer.
Berry shot 39-percent (12-32) to 29-64 (45-percent) for the home team.
The Skyhawks had four players record double figures in scoring. Brandon Hopkins collected 18, and Michael Ingle notched 16 and grabbed 10 rebounds. Point led in rebounding, 48-30.
"Any time you get out-rebounded by 19 and give up 15 offensive rebounds, it's very difficult to win on the road," said Berry Head Coach Jeff Haarlow. "That said, I liked our intensity and we continue to get better."
Berry plays at Huntingdon on Saturday, Dec. 15.
