Box Score ROME, Ga. - Wes Goldsberry scored four goals to lead Berry to an 18-3 victory over Hanover in a men's lacrosse match at Ford Field Monday.
Berry scored the game's first five goals before eventually taking a 14-2 lead into halftime and cruising to the victory.
Nine different players scored for the Vikings, who won their third consecutive game and improved to 5-8 on the season. Along with Goldsberry's four goals, Berry also received three goals apiece from Cal Supik and Michael Emanuelo; two goals from Bryan Byers and CJ McRae; and a goal each from Marshall Henderson, Nat Morey and Jake Cooper.
The Vikings controlled the ball for most of the match, winning 21-of-25 faceoffs and earning a 49-21 ground ball advantage. Berry, which was successfull on all but one of its 30 clearing opportunities in the contest, outshot Hanover 43-17.
Trevor Chapman, Chris Baney and Daniel Mains all scored for Hanover. The Panthers' starting goalkeeper, Brandon Epperson, recorded 19 saves. Backup Davie Brush saved a pair of shots.
Berry goalie Jordan Boreman finished the game with seven saves.
The Vikings will wrap up their inaugural season Saturday, when they host Sewanee at 3 p.m., at Ford Field.
