ROME, Ga. - Tim Miles scored a game high 23 points to lead Berry to a 73-63 victory over Young Harris Wednesday evening at the Cage Center.
Berry (10-8) jumped out to a 8-2 lead before the Mountain Lions began chipping away, tying the score 17-17 on Frank Adams' layup with 7:38 to go in the first half. YHC would later take the lead, eventually going up by eight points when Steven Viterbo hit a jumper with 3:09 to go in the first half to give Young Harris a 30-22 lead.
The Mountain Lions (3-13) led 34-31 at halftime and went ahead by as many as seven points early in the second half.
But Berry would fight back, putting together a 19-4 run that turned a 40-33 deficit into a 52-44 lead midway through the second half.
The Vikings never looked back, leading by as many as 16 points with four minutes left in the game.
Matt Mixer came off the bench to score 14 points for the Vikings. Miles and Mixer combined for 27 of Berry's 42 second-half points. Miles scored 17 points in the final 20 minutes, while Mixer scored 10 of his points in the second half.
Frank Adams led YHC with 17 points. He was joined in double figures by Matt Preston, who scored 14 points, O'Neil Lubin, who added 13, and Bryson Robertson, who chipped in 11 for the Mountain Lions.
Berry returns to action Monday against LaGrange at the Cage Center.
