Coughlan Scores 17 in 67-49 Win over Young Harris

ROME, Ga. - Brittany Coughlan scored a game high 17 points to lead Berry to its third consecutive victory, a 67-49 win over Young Harris Wednesday evening at the Cage Center.

Berry led for all but a three-minute stretch midway through the first half.  The Lady Vikings took the lead for good when Alexa Evans drained a 3-point basket that gave Berry a 18-16 advantage.

The Lady Vikings (9-9) led 31-28 at halftime before easing away in the second half.  Berry led by as many as 20 points in the game's final minute. 

Coughlan was one of three Lady Vikigs to score in double figures.  Megan Walsh scored 11 points and Evans added 10.  Carol Lampley grabbed nine rebounds to go with nine points.

Lindsey Hammontree led Young Harris (6-10) with 12 points.

Berry returns to action Monday, when it hosts LaGrange at 6 p.m.
