Tim Miles led Berry with 21 points and eight rebounds, but Union (N.Y.) defeated the Vikings 83-62 in the final game of the Land of Magic Classic in Daytona Beach, Fla., Thursday.
Berry (6-5) had trouble shutting down a hot-shooting Union squad, which shot 56 percent (34-for-61) from the field in the game, including 48 percent (10-for-21) from 3-point range. The Vikings shot 41 percent (22-for-54) in the contest.
Union (7-1) held a 41-34 advantage at halftime before breaking the game open in the final 20 minutes.
Miles was joined in double figures by teammates David Holloman and Stefan Woods. Holloman scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds, while Woods chipped in 10 points.
The Dutchmen were led by Justin Gallo, who led five players in double figures with a game high 25 points. Matt Covucci scored 15 points, Joe Mason added 13 and Drew Goldstein and Keven Donohue scored 10 apiece. All five players started the game for Union.
Berry is scheduled to return to action Jan. 6, when it hosts Piedmont at 7 p.m.
