Berry defeated the University of the Ozarks 79-77 in the consolation game at the Black Tie Tournament, hosted by Birmingham-Southern College Saturday. 

"We had a good bounce-back win after facing some adversity in a loss yesterday," Berry head coach Jeff Haarlow said following the game.  "I thought our bench played awfully well today. 

"I felt like today's game was between two very similar programs," Haarlow added.  "We did a good job of picking up our intensity and showing some fight this afternoon."

The win improves Berry's record to 2-1 overall.  The Vikings are scheduled to return to action Tuesday at Covenant.
